Question: Should I collect data to reflect “as-built” conditions?

Answer: Yes. Data submitted should reflect the “as-built” configuration (condition after construction is complete) of all features within the project scope, whether affected by construction or not.

Also collect imagery, which is an important source of data and important tool to validate data, after construction is complete.

In some cases, planning data may have to be submitted prior to the commencement or completion of construction. After construction completes, if the as-built location of any features falls within the accuracy tolerances of previously-submitted planned features, resubmit the previous data with the status code changed to “AS_BUILT”.
