Question: Should survey data reference the National Spatial Reference System?

Answer: Yes. All data submitted to the FAA Airports GIS site must reference the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS) to tolerances that meet or exceed the accuracy defined in AC 150/5300-18B. The primary way of achieving this is to tie all survey points to the Primary and/or Secondary Airport Control Stations (PACS and SACS). These monumented control stations are already tied to the NSRS.
